The Deep Shore
Welcome to The Deep Shore—a podcast that offers short, immersive episodes that seek to translate the soul of the living world through poetry and meditations.
These episodes are designed to act as companions throughout your day, offering a moment in time, dedicated to beauty, language, connection, and the often left-untended landscape of our inner worlds.
From poet and wilderness guide Helena Turner, The Deep Shore is an invitation to slow down and pay attention, to see clearly the nature of our own lives as mirrors of the world around us, to be willing to live and to feel.

BLESSING

This week on The Deep Shore, a poem of blessing. A poem to bless your life and bless your way.
This poem is inspired by John O'Donohue's 'Beannacht', which is the gaelic word for blessing.
The ocean soundscapes in this episode were recorded on wukaluwikiwayna (Maria Island) on the East Coast of Lutruwita, Tasmania, a place of deep remembering and heartache. May the spirit of the ocean touch your heart and bring a moment of peace to your day.
Words by Helena Turner.
Music by Cat Bednarski.
